While the feds lifted fire restrictions on public lands Friday, no date has been set for open burning in the East Fork Fire District. It should be coming up in the next few weeks. You can check yourself at eastforkfire.org.
It rained sticks thanks to gusty winds around Western Nevada on Sunday. According to the Carson Valley wind gauge along Highway 395 north of Minden, we had a couple of 42 mph gusts at 1:40 and 3:30 p.m.
It was warm out this morning, but that’s going to change in the next few days with temperatures dropping back down into the low 30s by Wednesday. Expect mostly sunny skies with a high temperature of 72 today, the wind will stick around at 15 mph out of the southwest, gusting to 25 mph.
