Scolari’s is closing on Black Friday, but 5 p.m. Dec. 6, they’ll be saying farewell upstairs at Sharkey’s with a big party and a couple of bands, the Knight Hawks and Craiglind Band will perform starting at 7 p.m. If you’re an employee, aformer employee, a customer or just a fan, you’re invited.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is working a fatal accident 15 miles this side of Lovelock. It occurred at 12:37 a.m., and will hopefully be cleared in a few hours. Please be careful on the roads.
Any chance we had at weather over Thanksgiving has disappeared in a triptophanic haze as any serious precipitation passes well north of Western Nevada. Today’s forecast is for mostly sunny with a high of 55 degrees. The inversion is still in place, so air in Carson Valley is trending to the unhealthy range, according to the near real time air quality monitor at Ranchos Aspen Park.
