The R-C Morning Report for Nov. 14
November 14, 2013
A Dec. 13 preliminary hearing date has been set for three people accused of using a crowbar to break into homes. South Lake Tahoe residents Jeffrey Stephens, 44, Joseph David Winters, 48, and Jean Rene Winters, 45, appeared in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday with their attorneys. They face multiple counts of burglary in connection with the break-ins.
It looks like our chance of showers on Saturday is retreating a bit. There’s a 20 percent chance in the forecast today, down from 30 percent on Wednesday. Those are forecast to be further north at first, so we’ll see what we get. The ski resorts will start to ramp up next week, so at least it will be cold.
Enjoy the warm weather while you can, because there’s a front coming in that will result in temperatures dropping. Expect a high temperature near 64 degrees today, with the winds starting out at 5-10 mph increasing to 10-15 mph in the afternoon, gusting to 30 mph. There’s a lake wind advisory in effect for Lake Tahoe. On Friday the high will be around 47 degrees.
