Two festivals in Genoa the same weekend as Candy Dance were told to split law enforcement and firefighting fees evenly with the town on Thursday. The Peddler's Fair and the Autumn Boutique at the White House were hoping to divide costs on a per booth basis.
A Reno man, who spent six months in the Douglas County Jail for videotaping female student athletes, was arrested Thursday in Washoe County. Rodney Skan, 60, is being held in the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail on four charges of stalking.
A preliminary hearing for a man accused of trying to burglarize homes and businesses in Indian Hills is expected to continue today. Christopher Qualls, 38, is being held on $100,000 bail.
Expect sunny skies and a high temperature of 63 today as we continue to warm up. The temperature will climb to 70 before another system rolls in bringing a slight chance of showers on Wednesday.
