The R-C Morning Report for March 12
March 12, 2014
County Manager Steve Mokrohisky is on the running commentary at 10:30 a.m. today. Ask a question by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ve got him this month and next for certain.
We should hear more this morning on the Highway 88 cattle carrier accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon and closed the road for nearly six hours.
There was a 1.9 magnitude earthquake east of Topaz Lake out in the middle of Antelope Valley, where they tend to occur. The earthquake happened at around 4 a.m.
There’s a lake wind advisory through 5 p.m. at Tahoe with 2-4-foot waves and 15-20 mph winds, so I wouldn’t suggest a leisurely boat trip this afternoon,
It was a lot cloudier on Tuesday than I expected. The sky looks clear this morning, so it should actually be sunny today with the wind relatively light. Expect the high to hit 54 and then keep on climbing through the week.
