Today is the beginning of the end for early voting in the June 10 primary election, which will continue through Friday. More than 2,200 people have taken advantage of early voting so far. If you count absentee voting, 10 percent of the electorate has cast a ballot. Depending on the turnout for the primary, that could end up being between half and a third of those who vote in the primary.
There’s a red flag warning for Western Nevada today starting 2 p.m. with gusty winds and low humidity. Expect winds 15-25 mph, gusting to 40 mph and a possibility of thunderstorms. The high temperature should say in the 70s today.
