The R-C Morning Report for Jan. 9
January 11, 2014
A Gardnerville woman in custody in connection with the shooting death of her roommate admitted Wednesday that she was drunk in violation of her suspended sentence the day the incident occurred. Nicole Followill, 29, declined to tell Justice of the Peace Tom Perkins what happened that day pending an inquest set for later this month. Followill had been convicted a two weeks before the Dec. 2 shooting of driving under the influence. The 60-day sentence she was facing was imposed.

Like a mirage in the desert the closer we get to forecast precipitation the more apparent it is that it’s just an illusion. We will continue to hike along the sands of this drought out to the next mirage, which is Saturday.
I guess my point is that it’s cloudy out, but the forecast rain for today has left the building. Expect partly sunny skies with a high near 51 degrees today. It’s almost there now at 42 degrees.
