The R-C Morning Report for Dec. 1
December 1, 2016
Genoa, Nev. — A chance that light snow showers could turn roads icy this morning is centered further north toward Reno. Our weather will be chilly at 22 degrees, but we’re unlikely to see much snow.
The forecast for tonight’s fireworks show is 32 degrees with the wind out of the east at less than 10 mph, which should be light enough for the show in Heritage Park to go on.
The S-Curve apartment proposal goes to Douglas County commissioners at their regular meeting 1 p.m. today. The spot has been a car lot for most of its existence, and spent a short time as a restaurant.
Also before commissioners is an annual performance evaluation for County Manager Larry Werner. It’s the last item on an agenda that optimistically would time out at 5 hours. The commission meets at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1616 Eighth St.
