The California Highway Patrol is responding to a 6:51 a.m. report of a white vehicle off the side of Highway 89 from the Bayview Trailhead. At 7:01 a.m., a unit reported seeing a vehicle 50 feet over the side. It appears that the occupants are out and are uninjured.
The Always Lost exhibit opened Monday at the Minden Inn with the help of a Reno Color Guard and a poem from Carl Schnock of Welcome All Veterans Everywhere. County Maintenance & Operations Superintendent Chris Oakden spent the weekend setting it up.
Minden Town Board members are meeting 9 a.m. today on a bid for work in the Minden Gateway Center. The town board meets in the CVIC Hall.
We had some rain in the Valley on Monday evening, though from what I can tell the main part of the storm stayed south of Genoa Lane. The tree on fire up on Genoa Peak hasn’t spread as near as I can tell.
The forecast calls for sunny skies and a high temperature today of 82 degrees. Expect the wind to be variable before it shifts to the east at 5-10 mph. Summer is due back from its vacation on Wednesday, though the season seems like it’s getting ready for its long nap already.
