Firefighters extinguished three fires consisting of 2.7 acres in Hope Valley near Blue Lakes Road on Thursday afternoon. The fires were reported at 4:18 p.m. No word to cause, but it’s been a while since there has been lightning up there.
The Carson Valley Arts Council is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a concert tonight. Austin’s House is hosting Austinpalooza featuring the Stray Cats Lee Rocker on
Saturday and the Carson Valley Antique Tractor Show is this weekend out on Pine Nut Road. For news about these and other happenings, pick up today’s copy of The Record-Courier on newsstands now.
Of course with the beginning of Best Of Carson Valley, finding one of those copies in a newsstand might be a challenge today.
The forecast is for sunny skies and light breezes today, with a high temperatures of 87 degrees. Summer looks like it’s going to make another push with highs up to the 90s by next week.
