Accused bank robber Jarell Williams, 26, is scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court this morning for a review hearing. It has been about six weeks since Williams sought funding for a mental health evaluation. Williams has been in custody since Jan. 4 when he was arrested on a Carson Valley rancher’s property after allegedly robbing the Topsy Lane Bank of America.
A weed management seminar is the first of an Agriculture Innovation Forum Series sponsored by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is 6 p.m. today in the CVIC Hall in Minden. For more information call Steve Lewis at 782-8860.
Tahoe City experienced the driest January and February on record, according to the National Weather Service, and the rest of us aren’t doing much better. With no precipitation on the horizon, we’re looking at sunny skies through the end of this month and a ways into March. Expect a high temperature of 49 today climbing into the 60s by Friday.
