The R-C Morning Report
February 12, 2013
A new means of tracking school performance will be presented at the Douglas County School Board meeting 3:30 p.m. today at the Zephyr Cove Public Library. The Nevada School Performance Framework is a 100-point index that shows how schools are performing. Implementation of the framework will prompt revisions to the district’s data dashboard.
Planning commissioners are scheduled to hear an alteration to the county’s code dealing with industrial parcels allowing outside sales, including showrooms, product testing areas and sampling areas. They would also remove the requirement for screening of solar panels in an industrial zone. Planning commissioners meet at 1 p.m., in the Douglas County Administrative Building, 1616 Eighth St., Minden.
It’s clear and 17 degrees out this morning. Today will be mostly sunny with a high temperature near 50. No moisture is in the forecast through Presidents Day on Monday.
