After 32 years of advising the Town of Minden, attorney George Keele is retiring from the town’s service. He will continue his private practice, he told Minden Town Board members on Wednesday night.
County commissioners have a busy day today with bids to be awarded for the Community & Senior Center and for Genoa’s downtown landscaping, reports from the Nevada State Health Division and on the traffic signal at Highway 395 and Airport Road, and discussion of future implementation of availability charges for county water and sewer funds. The meeting starts at 1 p.m. at the Douglas County Administrative Center, 1616 Eighth St., Minden. The meeting times out at 3 hours, 25 minutes.
We’ll see the high temperature this morning as a cold front rolls through Western Nevada. The National Weather Service is forecasting snow starting late this afternoon and continuing into the night. We could see up to 2 inches of snow, but we will see colder temperatures. Today’s high is expected to hit 46 degrees. The wind will pick up this afternoon.
