An attic fire at a home on Raeline Lane in northern Carson Valley forced a family of three to spend the night in a hotel courtesy of the Red Cross. No one was injured in the fire, which the occupant said he had mostly out before firefighters arrived.
State Sen. James Settelmeyer, R-Minden, will offer a preview of the coming Legislative session for the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce at its regular business meeting, this month at the Overland in Gardnerville.
The trial of accused stalker Charles Meisler, 61, continues today in Douglas County District Court. The jury is seated and they even got to hear a couple of witnesses on Tuesday.
