The R-C Morning Report

Most of the road controls in Western Nevada are gone, with the exception of the Mount Rose Highway, Echo Summit and Carson Pass. They’ve all moved east, where you will require chains or snow tires on 50 from Silver Springs out past Middlegate and on 95 from Schurz to Interstate 80.

The Joe Craven Trio is performing tonight at the CVIC Hall. Tickets are $30 at the door for the concert sponsored by the Carson Valley Arts Council. For $21 you can buy into the Knights of Columbus bingo game that benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Carson Valley. For details on these and other events check out today’s Record-Courier calendar on stands now.

We may see the last of the snow today for a while. There’s a 20 percent chance of showers in the forecast this morning. Otherwise we’ll have partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 32 degrees. Overnight temperatures are back in single digits starting tonight.
