The R-C Morning Report
January 4, 2013
School’s back in session next week, though when depends on which school children attend. Meneley, Jacks Valley, Pinon Hills, Scarselli and Carson Valley Middle schools all start on Monday. Gardnerville, Minden, Zephyr Cove, Pau-Wa-Lu and the high schools are starting Tuesday.
There are a couple of early morning gigs today and Saturday. Carson Valley Sertoma is hosting the general manager of the Gardnerville Walmart, Eric Schuman, 7 a.m. today at Sharkey’s.
The Audubon Christmas Bird Count and feeder watch is 7 a.m. Saturday. Meet in Gardnerville at Woodette’s for assignments. For these and other things coming up over the next week, pick up a copy of The Record-Courier and check out the calendar.
The inversion is supposed to clear out today, thought it will be a while before the temperatures start to warm up. We may even see some snow on Sunday. Today expect patchy freezing fog before 10 a.m., then mostly sunny with a high near 28 degrees. My thermometer is reading 5 degrees this morning.
