In response to the recent rash of burglaries in Minden, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents who see any suspicious or unfamiliar people or vehicles in their neighborhood to call dispatch at 782-5126.
South Lake Tahoe resident Deonta Brown, 25, is scheduled to be sentenced today in connection with his arrest Sept. 3 in a string of burglaries on both sides of the state line.
Douglas County commissioners are meeting today to learn about priority based budgeting and the results from the online budget challenge which concluded last week. The meeting’s at 1 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center, 1694 County Road in Minden.
We’re going to see the high temperature hit this morning and then quickly decrease, according to the National Weather Service. Expect the high to hit around 53 at 10 a.m., then drop below 40 by 2 p.m. The skies should be clear and the temperature down to 19 around midnight.
