The R-C Morning Report
December 4, 2012
A Gardnerville couple who left Citrus Heights on Thursday afternoon is being sought after they were reported missing on Friday. Roderick Paul Clifton, 44, and Paula Lane, haven’t been heard from since they left relatives’ home, according to several television stations. They were driving a blue, 1989 Jeep Cherokee, license plate No. 4VPB789. They usually take Highway 50 over Echo Summit and then over to Pickets Junction to Highway 88 and down Woodfords Canyon.
Forest Service crews will be conducting controlled burns on an acre at Elks Point Road in Roundhill and on four acres along Highway 28 near Skunk Harbor, so there’s probably going to be some smoke on the mountain.
Gardnerville and Genoa town boards meet today. Gardnerville board members meet at 4:30 p.m. and will be discussing New Beginnings Housing on Stodick Parkway. Genoans will be discussing recommending to the county Redevelopment Agency to approve acceptance of a bench and to name the southern outlook of the Genoa Vista Trail Pippin’s Point, in honor of Summerwinds Resorts Marketing Director Kaylin Pippin, who died before the trail was completed. Genoans meet at 6:30 p.m.
Red sky at morn today, so expect some weather. Today will see cloudy skies and a high temperature near 58 degrees, with southwest winds 10-15 mph gusting to 25 mph as a new weather system comes in. There’s a reasonable chance of rain tonight, and a better one on Wednesday. It will be a slight drizzle compared to last weekend’s rain.
