It was a pretty soggy weekend with 7/10ths of an inch of precipitation falling north of Genoa and 7 inches of snow over 24 hours at Heavenly Ski Area. The Natural Resources Conservation Service snow telemetry shows Ebbetts Pass at 8.3 inches of precipitation, which is 132 percent average with 4.4 inches of moisture which is way over average. The Carson Basin average is running 103 percent of average precipitation as of midnight last night.

It’s windy and relatively warm this morning as a new weather front pushes into the region. Expect mostly cloudy skies today with a high temperature near 58 and the wind out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. Tonight’s low will be 32 degrees but that’s it. There’s a chance of showers on Tuesday night.
