The R-C Morning Report
November 15, 2012
We had a pretty good turnout at our open house to meet R-C Publisher Pat Bridges on Wednesday night. Thanks to all those who attended. Pat, who is also ad manager at the Nevada Appeal, is living in Minden.
The Douglas County commissioners meeting that would typically be at Stateline this afternoon has been cancelled due to the impending Thanksgiving holiday. Commissioners had their meeting for the week on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service is betting even money that it will rain sometime over the next few days starting 10 p.m. tonight as the first of two low pressure systems arrives in Western Nevada. Snow levels will go up to 7,500 feet on Friday night, and snow could accumulate over the higher passes. The second front is due in on Saturday night and should be a tad colder.
