The R-C Morning Report
October 12, 2012
A fifth of an inch of rain fell in Genoa overnight. Readings from Stateline and South Lake Tahoe are showing similar amounts. The spin on the storm is driving it southeast right into the corner pocket of the Sierra we call home. Showers are expected to continue through 11 a.m. before clearing.
Fire restrictions on state and federal lands were lifted today, so it’s good we got some rain. You’re still going to need a permit for a campfire in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.
They’re playing bunco for breast cancer 5-11 p.m. today at the Carson Valley Inn to benefit the Cancer Resource Center. Buy-in is $30 at the door. E-mail email@example.com for more info. For more stuff going on this weekend, pick up a copy of The R-C and check the calendar page.
