The R-C Morning Report
October 11, 2012
Wednesday’s job fair at the Carson Valley Inn was packed with people looking for work. There were quite a few jobs on the table as well, including front and center on the county’s table the job of human resources director. Darcy Worms left to work for the state.
We’re seeing a changing of the guard at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office with spokesman Sgt. Jim Halsey moving over to investigations and Sgt. Pat Brooks taking over the role as the voice of Douglas County law enforcement effective next week. Our thanks to Jim for the great job and a big R-C welcome to Pat.
The National Weather Service says it just might rain today, and that there could be 1-3 inches of snow in Alpine and Mono counties above 9,000 feet. If it does rain, it will rain a lot, with the possibility of heavy showers increasing as you go south from Highway 50.
