The R-C Morning Report
September 20, 2012
East Fork Swimming Pool District members will discuss whether to renew Swim Center Director Kirk Chiapella’s contract this morning. The district board meets at 7 a.m., and the item dealing with Chiapella is fourth on the agenda.
Douglas County commissioners won’t have nearly as interesting a time when they meet 1:30 p.m. at Stateline. They’ll hear a progress report on the Carson River Watershed Regional Management Plan, a discussion of including Washoe County, Reno and Sparks in the Western Nevada Development District and a discussion of bidding to host a future National Association of Counties conference in the county for 2014 and 2015. The meeting times out at 45 minutes, most of which will be spent saying the group’s names.
I could copy and paste today’s weather from the last four days, but that may come to an end on the weekend. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high temperature in the upper 80s and a low in the mid-40s. Saturday night we’re supposed to see a chance of showers and a cooldown into the 70s.
