Stateline casino down a tad for July
September 10, 2012
Stateline’s casino win was essentially flat during the first month of the fiscal year, down .58 percent compared to 2011.
Stateline casinos brought in $29.63 million during the month, down $172,000 from July 2011, according to figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board on Monday.
While July’s take was slightly less than the same month in 2011, it still was well above the recession years of 2009 and 2010.
The lion’s share of gaming revenue for Douglas County is generated at Stateline.
Stateline is coming off a positive fiscal year that saw Lake Tahoe casinos at $206.1 million ending June 30, an increase of 1.91 percent for the year.
Carson Valley area casinos, which include those in Douglas outside of the Lake Tahoe basin, and in Carson City, posted a .19 percent decrease. They brought in $8.7 million during the month.
