Six teenagers and young adults were taken into custody early Friday after deputies responding to a domestic battery report in the Gardnerville Ranchos found nearly four pounds of marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia.
Taken into custody were:
Justin Seth Weisinger, 20; Tyler John Christy, 20; Kyle Ross Jarboe, 21; Alicia Fay Harrison, 18; Daniel Mark Redding, 20; and Sara Stewart, 18.
Bail for each suspect is approximately $30,000, with the exception of Jarboe, who is being held without bail.
Arraignments are set for Monday in East Fork Justice Court.
All the suspects are Gardnerville residents.
According to reports, deputies were dispatched at midnight to 1302 Muir Drive for a reported domestic battery.
The reporting party said a man and woman were yelling at each other, and reported the man had swung at the female.
Upon arrival, deputies observed several people inside the residence.
Alerted by two barking dogs in the yard, Redding opened the front door, saw the deputy, shut the door, and locked it. The officer said several people seated in the living room began to run and move things around the residence.
Redding, was observed stuffing multiple blue nitrous oxide containers in the couch.
The deputy said he could hear people running through the house.
Redding came out, locked the door behind him, and told the deputy he was trespassing.
Redding denied there were any women at the residence, or that a battery had taken place.
One of the deputies on scene recognized Harrison's vehicle, which Redding said he borrowed.
An officer who was in the back yard said he saw two girls hiding items under the couch cushions and believed them to be under age.
The girls, Harrison and Stewart, came out of the residence. Deputies determined they had been drinking.
Redding continued to deny that anyone else was in the residence. He told officers the nitrous oxide containers were being used to bake cakes and make whipped cream.
Deputies obtained a search warrant and four officers entered the residence.
They found Weisinger hiding in a bathroom off the master bedroom and Jarboe and Christy hiding in a crawl space in the master bedroom closet.
Once the suspects were out of the house, deputies brought in canine officer Mack who alerted on a total of nearly four pounds of marijuana in an outdoor shed as well as prescription pills, 13.9 grams of MDMA or "Ecstasy," and paraphernalia.
The suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of possession of controlled substance for sale; possession of controlled substance; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of dangerous drug without prescription; obstructing an officer; use or possession with intent to use drug, chemical, poison or organic solvent to induce euphoria or hallucinations; sale or furnishing of alcoholic beverage to minor; trafficking in a controlled substance.
