Photos of South Lake bank robber released


Authorities are looking for the man who robbed the South Lake Tahoe branch of El Dorado Savings Bank this afternoon.

South Lake Tahoe Police Department responded to a 2:06 p.m. report of a robbery at 3443 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Witnesses said an unidentified white male adult entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was seen. After the undisclosed amount of money was handed to him, he fled the scene on foot.

The robber was described as a white male adult in his mid-20s, who was of light to average build with scruffy facial hair and a black patch of hair on his left cheek similar to a mole.

He was wearing blue pants, black jacket with leather sleeves similar to a letterman’s jacket. He had on a black hoodie and snow goggles and carrying a Safeway reusable shopping bag.

The suspect is on video walking down Bal Bijou Road just prior to the robbery. He was last seen fleeing the scene behind CVS Pharmacy on foot.
