Nevada Day R-C Morning Report
October 26, 2012
Happy faux Nevada Day. It’s 20 degrees out in the middle of the Valley, but on the benches it’s a lot closer to freezing at sunrise today. State and local offices are closed today as are some financial institutions, and there’s no school today.
Early voting will be open at the Minden courthouse 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. If you’re looking for something Nevada to do in the Valley, you could check out the Dangberg Home Ranch where they’re offering a tour at 10 a.m. today, or go to the Corley Ranch pumpkin patch and corn maze which is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you’re looking for something educational for the kids, the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center is open today, or maybe make the run up to Carson to visit the Nevada State Museum or the Northern Nevada Railroad Museum. It’s a good day to be a Nevadan, so abuse the privilege by getting in touch with our heritage.
Today’s weather certainly will cooperate with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 62 degrees. A breath of a northern breeze will come up in the afternoon.
