Man wears stolen shoes out of store
February 15, 2013
A man walked out of Famous Footwear on Wednesday wearing a new pair of shoes without paying for them.
A store supervisor said at 12:45 p.m., he noticed the suspect, a white man between the ages of 25-30, 6-feet tall, wearing a white tank top and white hat with a black emblem.
The supervisor said he watched the man try on several pairs of shoes, then walk toward the exit wearing a pair of new shoes worth $64.99.
He asked the man to remove the shoes, but the suspect ran out of the store with the shoes on, and got into a late model pickup, possibly a Chevy S10.
A sheriff’s deputy checked the license plate, and discovered the vehicle was registered to a Carson City man.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate the truck owner.
