Man held in bank robbery set to appear in court today
January 7, 2013
The man arrested Friday on charges related to the robbery of the Topsy Lane Bank of America is scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court this morning. Jarell Ryan Williams, 26, is being held in Douglas County jail on $125,000 bail on charges of armed bank robbery, bomb threat and making threats or conveying false information concerning acts of terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, lethal agent or toxin.
He is scheduled to appear before Justice of the Peace Tom Perkins, who will ask if he understands the charges against him and whether he can afford an attorney.
If Williams doesn’t have an attorney, and can claim to be indigent, Perkins will appoint one and set a date for arraignment.
