Healing arts fair set in Minden
June 2, 2012
A free Healing Arts Fun Fair is noon-5 p.m. June 9-10, at 1558 First St., in Minden.
Healing practitioners will introduce participants to reiki, numerology, massage, Bowen pain relief therapy, tai chi demonstrations, reflexology and Tibetan bowl energy balancing.
The event is open to all ages and is to benefit Joanne Frazel who is seeking to reopen an investigation into the 2004 shooting death of her husband Byron Frazel Jr., in Helena, Mont.
Tickets are on sale for chances to win a portrait by artist Michelle Gabler, valued at $1,500, and other items.
Frazel has a website, http://www.policecoverup101.com, where she details circumstances of the Montana shooting and her efforts to get the case reopened.
She has moved to Carson Valley since the shooting.

“At approximately 6 a.m. on Aug. 11, 2004, my husband was found dead next to his dental lab, shot through his left hand into his forehead, his keys in his right hand – he was right-handed – lying almost parallel to his truck with his arms straight at his sides, legs straight and heels together,” she said.
Frazel said she has spent the last eight years and her savings to re-open the case which she believes was a homicide, despite a coroner’s ruling of suicide.
She is seeking additional money to complete testing of what she said is new DNA evidence.
