Fugitive taken into custody

Douglas County deputies took a man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service into custody on Tuesday night after receiving a tip he was living in a home on Leonard in the Gardnerville Ranchos.
Milo Robert Cook III, 34, of Billings, Mont., was taken into custody at about 6:20 p.m.
Cook is wanted for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
He was turned over to the U.S. Marshals on Wednesday.
■ The mother of a 2-year-old girl, found wandering on Wagon Drive in the Gardnerville Ranchos, was taken into custody on Thursday morning.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office the girl was found around 9 a.m. walking down the street in a diaper.
Deputies and neighbors went searching for the parents, calling Child Protective Services after about an hour.
At about 11 a.m., the fiancé of the child’s mother was found and led deputies to a home on Wagon.
■ A U.S. Army recruiter was driving through Carson City in an official vehicle on Wednesday when he noticed he was low on gas. When he pulled into a gas station he saw fuel was pouring out of the vehicle, and its main fuel line had been cut.
The vehicle was parked behind the recruiting station, located at 911 Topsy Lane.
