Suspects in two commercial burglaries in Gardnerville in September are in custody, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.
Stevi Leigh Tucker, 23, is in Douglas County Jail on charges of principal to burglary and accessory to possession of a stolen vehicle.
Richard Lenning, 32, believed to be her accomplice, is in custody in Salinas, Calif., pending charges.
Both suspects have criminal records.
The first burglary occurred at the Verizon Wireless Outlet Store on Waterloo Lane at 5 a.m. Sept. 24.
Officials said entry was made by a suspect smashing the glass of the exterior window.
Two cellular telephones, phone chargers and miscellaneous currency were stolen from inside.
The second burglary occurred approximately 15 minutes later at the Washoe One Stop Smoke Shop located on Highway 395, approximately one mile south of the first burglary.
Access into the building was made by forced entry into the rear door. Cartons of cigarettes and miscellaneous currency were stolen from inside.
Still images of a male suspect committing the burglaries were captured at each location, and distributed by The Record-Courier and other media.
