A 45-year-old woman, who admitted embezzling $6,500 from her elderly charge, faces prison today unless she can come up with almost $5,000 in restitution. Danah C. Cain’s five years probation expires at the end of the week, but unless she has the money, Judge Tod Young threatened to put her in prison.
Douglas County School Board trustees are meeting 4 p.m. today at the district office on Mono Avenue to decide whether to go forward with $17.8 million in improvements to Douglas High School required to bring the freshman class back to school after 20 years. The district office is located at 1638 Mono Ave. in Minden.
I don’t know why I keep looking at the weather, it’s been the same for more than a week. It’s not even warm enough to break any records.
