The R-C Morning Report for Oct. 4

It’s going to be a very busy first weekend in October with events ranging from the Aviation Roundup and Animal Blessing to Run Ed Run and the Scarecrow Festival. Like to know what’s going on? Pick up a copy of today’s Record-Courier in stands now.

Two people received nonlife threatening injuries in an accident at Genoa Lane and Highway 395 on Thursday morning. The accident was cleared up in an hour after southbound traffic was diverted down Genoa Lane.

A cold air mass has settled over Western Nevada bringing with it the possibility of a hard freeze on Saturday morning with temperatures dropping into the lower to mid-20s in some valleys and into the teens in the colder Sierra Valleys.

Today will be sunny and cool with the high forecast to hit 58 degrees with east winds 10-15 mph gusting to 25 mph. Tonight might be a good night to fire up the woodstove, with a predicted low of 28 degrees.
