The RC Morning Report for June 26

The Nevada Highway Patrol is working a vehicle accident with injury on Highway 50 at Presbyterian Curve this morning. The accident occurred at 6:47 a.m. in the eastbound lanes. We’ll have more on that later today.

I knew the Pony Express was making up time, but I didn’t expect them to be at the Jacks Valley Fire Station at 6 a.m. I caught up to them at the entrance to the Genoa Lakes Resort Course. The rider made it to Genoa by 6:45 a.m. and is now out of Carson Valley.

The Bureau of Land Management is hosting a workshop 6-8 p.m. at the district office in Carson City on a band of horses living off their management area in Fish Springs. The office is on 5665 Morgan Mill Road.

No more cloudy days for us as temperatures climb into the upper 80s under sunny skies today. The high is supposed to hit 87 degrees, and it’s just going to get hotter as the week progresses. Sunday’s forecast is back up to 100 degrees.
