Bark for Life honors sheriff’s K-9

Douglas County Sheriff’s K-9 and cancer survivor, Akiva, will be honored at the American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life July 14. The noncompetitive walking event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer is 1-4 p.m. in Minden Park. “Bark for Life honors the lifelong contributions of canine caregivers.
