Pops founder service May 18

Carson Valley Pops Orchestra conductor and founder Danny Yale, 90, died April 19, within days after receiving his first royalty check on his musical arrangements. The arrangements “Korobooskika and “Ozidanie” were published last year. Wife Cecilia, who played first violin for the orchestra and was a founder along with Brian Farnon, said she brought Yale’s violin to him so he could play it just before he died. The Yales moved to Carson Valley in 1995, a few years before the formal founding of the orchestra in 1999. It took the better part of a year to get the Pops up …
