Small-scale rabbit or goat production may be of interest to people living on agricultural properties. These enterprises can be realized on relatively small acreages. The Agricultural Innovation Forum will focus on these topics Tuesday at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Vince Thomas will discuss goat production and his business of goat grazers – a biological approach to weed management. And Daisy Gudino will share rabbit production tips she applies to her business to produce rabbit meat. Both presenters will touch on goals and reasons why people produce these animal products and services. Popular breeds, reproduction characteristics, care and feeding, facility needs, marketing considerations, and income potential will be discussed.
