Cowboy Poetry rounding the barrels

With less than a month before Genoa’s May 3-5 Cowboy Festival, the events’ dashboard indicators are starting to move into the green. Town Manager Sheryl Gonzales said that as of Tuesday, the town is only $2,000 short of its $25,000 goal for sponsorships. The Heritage Club, which is a major source of revenue for the event, is at $31,500, approaching its goal of $35,000. So far, 750 tickets to the event had been sold, up from 600 this time last year.
