The RC Morning Report for March 7

A proposal to landscape the right of way along Highway 395 at the Minden Gateway Center will go before Minden Town Board members at their regular meeting 5:30 p.m. tonight. Also before the board is a request for $5,000 to fund the Valley Vision, which will “visualize a Carson Valley of the future, which enhances environmental, economic and community well-being.”

Carson City Republican Woman Janice Baldwin will talk to the Douglas County Republican Women about project Americans Coming Together. The meeting is 11 a.m. today at the Carson Valley Inn. Lunch is $20.

The snow is slowing down a bit, and it’s above freezing this morning, so expect it to melt off pretty fast today. I think we’ve seen our half and inch so far for the day. The wind will continue through the day out of the southwest 25-30 mph, gusting to 45 mph. It’s supposed to get below freezing tonight.
