Woman faces prison term after admitting drug possession

A woman faces revocation of her parole after she admitted to one count of misdemeanor possession of a drug not introduced into interstate commerce.

Jennifer Shaun Boise, 38, will receive 90 days jail time after she pleaded guilty in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday.

“I tend to get caught right away,” she said.

Boise is being held on a hold from Parole and Probation because the charge is a violation. She faces 2-6 years in prison if revoked. Justice of the Peace Tom Perkins said her sentence could run concurrent to her prison sentence.

■ Two Reno residents are in custody after being arrested on a warrant resulting from a May drug sting.

Christopher Bechtold, 27, and Angela Moen, 25, allegedly sold heroin.

Bechtold appeared in Douglas County District Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to sales of a controlled substance.

Under a plea agreement he faces 2-5 years in prison concurrent to a sentence in Carson City. He’s scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court for sentencing on Sept. 15.

Moen allegedly owns the vehicle she and Bechtold took to make drug sales in Carson Valley.

■ A Utah man said he forgot he had a pistol in his pocket when he went out with friends.

Justin Bohman, 22, admitted one count of possession of a firearm while intoxicated in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday.

Bohman was arrested Aug. 15 after the vehicle he was riding in was pulled over for driving under the influence.

Deputies said Bohman informed them he had a firearm when they stopped the car.

On Wednesday he told East Fork Justice of the Peace he didn’t intend to have the gun. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 83 days suspended and had to forfeit the 9 mm handgun.
