Power outage affects Antelope Valley

A three-hour power outage affected about 800 Liberty Utilities customers along Highway 395 from the California state line to Walker, Calif.

Spokesman Randy Kelly said the outage started around 5:30 p.m. Sunday and lasted until 8:45 p.m.

“The cause of the outage occurred in a substation in Nevada that serves the California customers, he said.

He’d also heard that the Topaz Lodge north of the state line was also affected by the outage.
