Hearing continued for burglary suspect

A hearing was continued to Wednesday for a 21-year-old Gardnerville man who faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with burglaries at three local restaurants.

Lee Lawson, jailed on nearly $30,000 bail, is charged with three counts of felony burglary, felony possession of burglary tools, and misdemeanor counts of destruction of property and possession of stolen property.

The alleged break-ins occurred in December at Minden Meat and Deli, El Aguila Real, and Lentine’s.

Lawson’s court-appointed attorney, Derrick Lopez, asked East Fork Judge Tom Perkins on Friday for additional time while he awaits his client’s video interview from the Douglas …
