Woman fails to stop for deputies

A 42-year-old Oakland woman was sentenced Wednesday to five days in Douglas County Jail after she failed to stop for deputies who were initiating a traffic stop. Michelle Page pleaded guilty to failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving without a valid license. She was arrested on Sunday following efforts by Carson City and Douglas County deputies to stop her. According to reports, Page was southbound on Highway 395 shortly before 10 p.m. when a deputy observed her registration was suspended. He turned on his emergency lights, but Page failed to stop.
