Law enforcement steps up weekend patrols

Law enforcement officers from Douglas and Lyon counties will be out in force Labor Day weekend in “Joining Forces” to focus on getting impaired drivers off the road. Drunk drivers will be cited and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This Labor Day weekend, law enforcement will be out in full force in Douglas County and Lyon County, patrolling the roads for impaired drivers. With the state’s Zero Fatalities goal in mind, drivers should plan ahead and designate a sober driver if their weekend plans involve alcohol.
