The RC Morning Report for Aug. 26

A 33-year-old Johnson Lane man faces sentencing this morning on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Benjamin Joseph Foraker, 33, shot his mother’s boyfriend with a BB gun and is scheduled to appear before District Judge Michael Gibbons today.

They’ll be living the vida locavore at Tahoe Ridge Winery tonight in Minden at the fifth annual locavore dinner. Tickets are $40, and while the black hemp tie is optional, reservations are not. Expect smoke to continue to fill the Valley today and through Tuesday night. Fortunately for those without air conditioning, the highs will continue to be mild, in the mid-80s. The wind will pick up this afternoon 5-15 mph out of the southwest.
