Video: Clerk won’t give up cash to would-be robber

A would-be robber fled from the Sierra Market in Gardnerville after being thwarted by a clerk who refused to give him any money on Friday night.

The man entered the store, produced a handgun and demanded the clerk fill a bag with money, Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Pat Brooks said.

After the clerk refused to give the man any money, the man was last seen running toward Garden Cemetery. No vehicle was spotted in connection with the incident.
