Men suspected of heroin distribution

Two Gardnerville Ranchos men are in Douglas County Jail on felony charges that they purchased heroin in Reno for distribution in Douglas County. Matthew Price, 25, is charged with offering or attempting to sell a controlled substance, and conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Heath Crawford-Penueta, 33, is charged with conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Both are in jail on $5,000 bail with court appearances set for Wednesday. Price, Crawford-Penueta and a third man were pulled over on June 25 for a traffic violation. Deputies said the three displayed suspicious behavior, and gave officers permission …
