Motorcyclist hurt in accident

A motorcyclist received non-life threatening injuries in a collision on Highway 395 between Mica Drive and Jacks Valley Road on Wednesday afternoon. Alcides Joel Rodriguez, 26, of Carson City, was riding a 2006 Yamaha, when he struck the rear of a pickup driven by Courtney Garnett, 26, of Louiston, Mont. He was ejected from the motorcycle and ended up in the cable divider, according to NHP spokeswoman Barbara Stapleton. Rodriquez was helicoptered from the scene of the accident for treatment. Another motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car Tuesday evening. The motorcyclist was transported to Renown Medical Center …
