East Fork crews help suppress on Pedlar fire

East Fork firefighters helped to suppress a 96-acre fire in American Canyon that started Sunday afternoon. A brush truck, an engine and a chief responded to the fire from the East Fork Fire District. Spokeswoman Lisa Ross said the fire was contained by 4 p.m. Monday, despite obstacles including the weather and the terrain. “Firefighters made great progress the last two days mopping-up and containing the Pedlar Fire,” Ross said. “Steep, rocky terrain and 100 degree plus temperatures have been challenging on this incident. Fire crews will continue throughout the day mopping-up any potential hot spots and patrolling the fire.” …
